Making Artwork with AI

Signage Manager can generate poster artwork from a written brief, and change artwork you already have. It is off until an administrator adds an AI provider, and the buttons stay hidden until then.

Making a new image

Open the media library and choose Create image with AI (the sparkle button in the header, or the same entry in the add menu on a small screen).

Describe what the image should show, in plain words:

a warm poster for our office Christmas party on Friday 10 December

Choose the shape (16:9 for a landscape screen, 9:16 for a portrait one) and how many options you want, then Generate. The options come back in a few seconds. Pick the one you like.

Behind the scenes the brief is combined with your organisation’s brand kit, so the colours and tone match the rest of your signage without you having to describe them each time.

Why the image comes back with no words on it

By default the picture is generated as a background with a clear area at the top, and you type the headline over it afterwards. No image model spells reliably at small sizes, and a logo a model has drawn is a redrawing rather than your actual logo. Typing the words yourself keeps them sharp, correct and editable later.

If you would rather the model rendered the words, turn off Add the words myself afterwards before generating.

Asking for changes

Under the options there is a box to ask for a change:

make the background darker and add a few paper decorations

Each change is applied to the picture you have selected, and the earlier versions stay on the rail above, so you can always go back to one you liked. Ask for as many changes as you need. Every instruction so far is carried along with the request, so the picture keeps building rather than starting over.

Adding the words and your logo

Choose Add the words to open the layer editor. Type a headline and a second line, choose where they sit and which brand colour they use, and turn the shaded band on or off if the picture is busy behind the text.

If your brand kit has a logo, Show our logo places the real logo file over the artwork, in whichever corner you choose. The generated picture was asked to leave that corner clear.

Save writes the finished poster into the media library like any other image, so it can be added to playlists, scheduled, and approved the usual way.

Changing an image you already have

Any image in the library can be sent back through the same flow: open its menu and choose Change image with AI, then describe what should be different. The result is saved as a new item, so the original is untouched.

Limits

• Each person has a daily allowance and each domain a monthly one. What you have left is shown under the brief.
• Requests that the vendor’s safety system refuses come back with an explanation. Rewording usually clears it.
• Options you do not keep are removed after 48 hours. Anything you saved into the library stays.
• Generated images are marked in the library with an ai-generated tag.
